Speaking via satellite hookup from his flat in Birmingham. U.K., Moazzam Begg could not gauge the reaction of his audience in Washington, D.C. But the members who jammed the auditorium at Amnesty International USA's Annual General Meeting (AGM) hung on Begg's every word as he described being abducted at gunpoint by Pakistani police and CIA officers in January 2002. and being held illegally at U.S. detention sites in Afghanistan and Guantánamo. The ordeal Begg described included 300 interrogations before his release, without charge or apology, on January 25, 2005.
