Texas, New York Inventors Develop Shared Memory Space Assignment Method

ALEXANDRIA, Va., June 21 -- Maximino Aguilar Jr. and Mark Richard Nutter, both of Austin, Texas, Michael Norman Day of Round Rock, Texas, and James Xenidis of Carmel, N.Y., have developed a processors grouping method.

An abstract of the invention, released by the U.S. Patent & Trademark Office, said: "A system and method for grouping processors is presented. A processing unit (PU) initiates an application and identifies the application's requirements. The PU assigns one or more synergistic processing units (SPUs) and a memory space to the application in the form of a group.
