ALEXANDRIA, Va., June 21 -- Min Chul Kim and SeungSoo Park, both of Seoul, South Korea, have developed a video cassette recorder system.
An abstract of the invention, released by the U.S. Patent & Trademark Office, said: "An apparatus and a method for controlling a recording operation for a video cassette recorder system having a digital tuner, prevent broadcast signals from being combined with menu screen data when a Graphical User Interface (GUI) is activated in the course of a watching and a recording operations.
