Generations lace 'em up to help fight breast cancer

Even the mostly blue sky showed a hint of pink over the 40,000 walkers and runners in Saturday's Komen Columbus Race for the Cure.

Pink is the official color of the annual event, Which raises money for breast cancer research, education, screening and treatment.

During the opening ceremonies at City Hall, Ohio House Minority Leader Joyce Beatty received a hand-blown glass sculpture crafted by Michael Rozell. The award honors her efforts in steering money to research in breast and cervical cancer, she said.
