Dear Graduates,

Congratulations! Your graduation is a terrific accomplishment. Your family, your teachers, your friends-all have reason to be very proud of you.

It seems to me that education, itself, is an optimistic act. To obtain an education requires hard work, tenacity, and struggle. Yet, we persevere in the belief that good will come of it, lives will be improved and enriched, hearts and minds will be expanded. We know that education will open doors that otherwise might be closed.
