Students honored by Fellowship of Christian Athletes

DON'T think about "No. 11."

Aha, chances are pretty good that you're not only thinking about that number, but even obsessing over it and trying to get it out of your head.

One of the state's all-time favorite No. 11s, OSU and NBA basketball star Jerry Lucas, used a similar memory trick during his recent acceptance speech as the 2008 Ohio Sports Legend. He received the honor last month at a dinner presented by the Central Ohio chapter of the Fellowship of Christian Athletes.

The event paid tribute to students, athletes and coaches who are still involved in athletics or have made their imprint on sports.
