ALEXANDRIA, Va., June 23 -- Yung-Lung Chen and Fan-Chung Lee, both of Taipei, Taiwan, Yuan-Tung Peng of Hsinchu, Taiwan, and Yih-Min Tu of Hualien, Taiwan, have developed a voltage controlled oscillator (VCO).

According to the U.S. Patent & Trademark Office, the invention relates to a "VCO, suitable for use in a frequency shift keying system. The VCO device comprises a switching varactor unit, having a first terminal and a second terminal, wherein the switching varactor unit produces a capacitance, according to a frequency-selection voltage.
