NORWICH, CONN., NATIVE TO COMMAND COAST GUARD AIR STATION

The U.S. Department of Homeland Security's U.S. Coast Guard, 5th District, issued the following press release:

A Norwich, Conn., native is scheduled to take command of the Coast Guard air station in New Orleans July 18.

Coast Guard Cmdr. Edward J. Cubanski III will relieve Cmdr. Thomas C. Hastings Jr. as commanding officer, Coast Guard Air Station New Orleans, during a ceremony at the Louisiana-based air station.

Cubanski has been the executive officer of Coast Guard Air Station Atlantic City since July 2006 and will continue with his duties until Friday.
