The X inputs for the offset printing process have been discussed in earlier GATFWorld articles. They include fountain solution and the offset press's ink and dampening rollers. The third part of the offset print process is the offset printing blanket and plate-toblanket-to-substrate print pressure. An extremely important element in the offset printing process, the plate-to-blanket-to-substrate print pressure, is the final ink transfer point between the press and the printed substrate.
