About 7 years ago, I worked with a group of mobile nurses. They made traveling seem so exciting that I just had to give it a try. It turned out to be the best move I ever made. My first assignment was in California, 3,000 miles away from my home in Upstate New York. During my first 6 months on the road, I learned the true value of being flexible.
Traveling appealed to me because I have a tendency to get bored if I'm in the same situation for too long. The lifestyle allows me to change my atmosphere, meet people, and see new places whenever I want.
