The city of Cedar Rapids issued the following news release:
Here is an update on operations at the Cedar Rapids Linn County Solid Waste Agency for Monday, June 23, 2008:
Site #2 on County Home Road is fully operational from 7am to 7pm Monday through Sunday.
Residential flood victims are encouraged to place all flood damaged items curbside for the City of Cedar Rapids to pick up FREE OF CHARGE.
Items should be placed in the following 5 separated piles:
* Garbage (including mattresses & furniture)
* Hazardous Waste (paints, solvents, herbicides, fertilizer etc.)
* Appliances, Electronics, TVs, Tires
* Scrap Metal
* Wood Debris & Pressed-Board
