STOKE YOUR FITNESS FIRE WITH SOME HEALTHY COMPETITION
AT ITS CORE, the goal of bodybuilding is simple: Transform the flesh that's attached to your bones into solid, iron-moving muscle. If you're reading this magazine, it means you've been inspired to do just that. The key, however, often is finding a way to stay inspired. For those of us who have spent countless hours in the gym, I realize this is no easy task. For me, that means thinking back to the first set of weights I ever picked up: a patchwork barbell made of two old car axles and two wheels that my brother Ben and I found in a scrap yard on the way home from school one day.
