EPA Finalizes Refinery Rules

The U.S. Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) is amending the current Standards of Performance for Petroleum Refineries (40 Code of Federal Regulations Part 60, Subpart J), and is finalizing other performance standards (40 CFR, Part 60, Subpart Ja) for new, modified or reconstructed process units at refineries. The latter include emission limitations and work practice standards for fluid catalytic cracking units (FCCU), fluid coking units (FCUs), delayed coking units, fuel-gas combustion devices, and sulfur recovery plants (SRPs).
