Rep. Mark E. Souder, R-Ind. (3rd CD), issued the following statement:

U.S. Rep. Mark Souder delivered the following remarks today in favor of H.R. 3546, a bill he cosponsored to authorize funding for the Edward Byrne Memorial Justice Assistance Grant (JAG) Program at fiscal year 2006 levels through 2012. The bipartisan legislation-which authorizes funding received by law enforcement in Allen, Noble, DeKalb, Steuben, and LaGrange Counties-was passed by the House today, with Souder's support, by an overwhelming majority of 406-11.
