Today, United States Senator Ken Salazar met with Tae-Sik Lee, the South Korean Ambassador to the U.S., to discuss the pending South Korea-U.S. Free Trade Agreement and the effort to resolve the ongoing dispute over U.S. beef imports to South Korea. Last weekend, the United States and South Korea reached an agreement to resume shipments of U.S. beef. The agreement limits, for an unspecified transition period, shipments of beef from cattle aged 30 months and younger.
