What do you have when you take the top 14 soldiers and noncommissioned officers (NCOs) in the U.S. Army Dental Command (DENCOM) and throw them together for a week-long Warrior Tasks competition? You have the 2008 DENCOM Soldier and NCO of the Year Competition.
This year' s competition was held at "The Great Place," Fort Hood, Texas, from March 9-14 and cohosted by the Dental Command and 502nd Dental Company. The candidates were prequalified for the DENCOM annual event by winning their respective Regional Dental Command yearly boards. Candidates for the event were:
