The office of Sen. Christopher S. 'Kit' Bond, R-Mo., issued the following news release:
U.S. Senator Kit Bond, Vice Chairman of the Senate Intelligence Committee, today criticized the left-wing of the Democratic Party in the Senate for blocking passage of critical terrorist surveillance legislation before Congress leaves for another week-long vacation.
"It's disappointing that as Americans across the country celebrate our Independence Day, some in the Senate are willing to gamble with their security in order to protect foreign terrorists in foreign countries," said Bond.
