Canada's CAs have renewed their Professional Mutual Recognition Agreement with the certified public accountants (CPA) in the US and Mexico's contadores publicos certiflcados (CPC).
This accord is a five-year extension of the first-ever mutual recognition agreement among professional designations consistent with the North American Free Trade Agreement that was originally signed in 2002 and ratified by the NAFTA Free Trade Commission.
The agreement enhances each country's access to highquality accounting professionals and affords greater mobility for CAs, CPAs and CPCs within North America. Forging international agreements such as this helps position Canada to succeed in our increasingly ...
