We have included in this issue one extra essay and one extra Profile. We do this because we have published, and will publish in the future, several special thematic issues. Legacy 24.2 was a special issue, guest-edited by Gabrielle Foreman and Cherene Sherrard-Johnson, on racial indeterminacy. Legacy 25.2 will feature papers delivered at the 2007 SSAWW conference. We also are planning a special anniversary issue for sometime next year.
