Every few months another article appears in the popular media sending out alarms about the detection of toxins found in breast milk. By not consulting professionals or further researching the issue, it would be easy to conclude that breastfeeding may be dangerous, and mothers should make the choice to use an inferior method of feeding. Yes, toxins are found in breast milk. Because of the high fat content of breast milk anything the mother is exposed to will be found in breast milk. This is the case now, and has been for all of history. Yes, increasingly toxins are a concern for moms, babies, and every other living, breathing, organism on this planet.
