Political collision may benefit servicemember education bills.
In physics, when two unstoppable objects collide, the energy of the two objects is destructively released. In politics, that is not always the case. With this year's GI Education bills, a collision of approaches could ignite improved benefits.
While the Post-9/11 Veterans Educational Assistance Act of 2007 was introduced last year by Sen. Jim Webb (D-Va.), support for the bill is building momentum in the second half of the 110th Congress with 57 senators cosponsoring.
