Guard and Reserve members are playing an important role in current active duty missions as an operational partner, said LTG Jack C. Stultz, chief of the Army Reserve. He said that without the Reserve Component, the total volunteer force could not fight the Global War on Terrorism alone and would have to rely on a draft to supplement its numbers.

LTG Stultz made his comments at a Senate breakfast in early April at ROA's Minuteman Memorial Building. ROA again co-sponsored Reserve Caucus breakfasts this year in both the House and the Senate.
