CLEVELAND: Ezekiel J. Emanuel, MD, PhD, chair of the Department of Bioethics at the National Institutes of Health's Clinical Center, will speak about his book Healthcare, Guaranteed, his proposal for a federally funded health care system that would guarantee universal healthcare but continue to allow consumers to choose their healthcare providers and physicians to operate privately, at noon on Friday, June 13, 2008, at The City Club of Cleveland.
Emanuel's brother, Rahm Emanuel (D-IL), serves as Democratic Caucus Chair, the 4th highest ranking Member of the U.S. House of Representatives Democratic Leadership.
