In April, the U.S. National Science Foundation (NSF) announced this year's class of Graduate Research Fellows in a wide range of science, technology, engineering, and mathematics (STEM) fields. Of the more than 900 students selected to receive this year's awards, ten are current members of the Material Advantage student program that TMS operates with the American Ceramic Society, ASM International, and the Association for Iron & Steel Technology. Each of the students receives three years of funding at the institution they choose-up to $121,500-for research-focused master's and doctorate degrees in STEM fields.
