Sen. Hagel Introduces Lung Cancer Mortality Reduction Act

WASHINGTON, July 1 -- Sen. Chuck Hagel, R-Nebraska, has introduced the Lung Cancer Mortality Reduction Act of 2008 (S. 3187), legislation that would "establish a comprehensive interagency response to reduce lung cancer mortality in a timely manner."

The bill, introduced on June 25, was co-sponsored by Sen. Dianne Feinstein, D-California. It was referred to the Senate Health, Education, Labor, and Pensions Committee.
