Article: Sen. Cantwell Introduces Puget Sound Recovery Act

WASHINGTON, July 1 -- Sen. Maria Cantwell, D-Washington, has introduced the Puget Sound Recovery Act of 2008 (S. 3196), legislation that would "amend the Federal Water Pollution Control Act to provide assistance for programs and activities to protect the water quality of Puget Sound."

The bill, introduced on June 25, was co-sponsored by Sen. Patty Murray, D-Washington. It was referred to the Senate Environment and Public Works Committee.
