Consumers still trust the printed statement to provide secure financial information instead of all the other electronic options available, according to independent research released by InfoPrint Solutions Co., a joint venture between IBM and Ricoh.
Fifty-seven percent of respondents said they preferred to receive monthly bank statements by mail; 15 percent feel financial information will be more secure if mailed; and 19 percent believe that printed statements are less likely to be hacked than online options.
