San Francisco's Board of Supervisors, for unanimously passing a law requiring chain restaurants to post nutrition information on menus. San Francisco restaurant chains with 20 or more locations in California must post the calories, saturated fat, carbohydrates, and sodium in food items. Those without printed menus must display the information on menu boards. Supervisor Tom Ammiano, who introduced the legislation, said it's designed to help prevent childhood obesity and diabetes.
