On the Run

My life has changed so much since I last sat down to write an On the Run column. I sent the last one in just a few days before my boys, Jon and James, lost their lives in a car accident. Since that day, Jan. 26, 2008, nothing has been the same.

The boys were my best friends. James and I spent time together in Boy Scouts and riding motocross. Jon and I were starting to rebuild an old muscle car together. He was 17, and you know how it is with teenagers. We were starting to talk about his future, as he became a man.
