ALEXANDRIA, Va., July 2 -- Toshiyuki Ikoma and Junzo Tanaka, both of Tsukuba, Japan, Yasuaki Ogawa of Kyoto, Japan, Takao Fujii of Tokyo, Yoko Miyamoto of Isehara, Japan, and Jun Niimi of Kawasaki, Japan, have developed a human growth hormone preparation process.
According to the U.S. Patent & Trademark Office, the invention aims to provide a "sustained-release microparticle preparation of a human growth hormone which combines biodegradability with sustained-release performance while avoiding the use of an organic solvent as much as possible, allows the sustained-release of a human growth hormone over three days or more and reduction in the initial burst release, can contain a human ...
