WASHINGTON, July 4 -- Sen. Mitch McConnell, R-Kentucky, has introduced the Veterans Health Care Improvement Act of 2008 (S. 3216), legislation that would "provide for the introduction of pay-for-performance compensation mechanisms into contracts of the Department of Veterans Affairs (VA) with community-based outpatient clinics for the provision of health care services."
The bill was introduced on June 26. It was referred to the Senate Veterans' Affairs Committee.
