WASHINGTON, July 4 -- Rep. Mike Rogers, R-Michigan, has introduced the American Energy Independence Act (H.R. 6161), legislation that would "provide for American energy independence by July 4, 2015."
The bill was introduced on May 22. It was referred to the House Energy and Commerce Committee; House Ways and Means Committee; House Natural Resources Committee; House Transportation and Infrastructure Committee; House Rules Committee; and House Science and Technology Committee.
