A Healthy Tenure
After a 10-year run, Mike Halseth, president and CEO of Valley Health in Winchester, is retiring at the end of this year, but remain on as part-time consultant to the organization through 2009.
Reese Jackson, president of Winchester Medical Center since last July, is being groomed to take over the top job at the largest health-care organization in the Quad-state region. Jackson, who is also executive vice president of Valley Health, will be promoted to the newly created position of chief operating officer on July 1.
During Halseth's tenure Valley Health's assets increased by almost 150%, from $345 million at December 31, 1998, to $844 million at December 31, 2007. During ...
