On July 18, the much-anticipated (and dance-packed!) Mamma Mia! starring Meryl Streep, Colin Firth, Pierce Brosnan and Mean Girls' Amanda Seyfried finally hits movie theaters. Set to the music of the 1970s pop group ABBA, the story centers around Sophie Sheridan (Seyfried), who must find out her father's identity before her rapidly approaching wedding day. DS got the scoop from choreographer Anthony Van Laast (who also created the moves for the Tony Award-nominated Broadway musical) on Meryl Streep's flexibility, choreographing for 60 extras and why dancers have to be smart.
