The Orange County Executive issued the following press release:
Orange County Executive Edward A. Diana formally transmitted the support of Orange County to Governor Paterson memorializing the service of the 156th by designating a portion of State Route 32 as the "156th Field Artillery Memorial Highway."
"This one more example of Senator Larkin's on-going efforts to honor and remember the sacrifices of our nation's Armed Forces," Diana said. "We applaud and support this effort to honor the 156th."
This memorial highway begins near the Kingston Armory which was a headquarters for the 156th Field Artillery, travels south along Rt. 32 and terminates near the Newburgh Armory ...
