ALEXANDRIA, Va., July 7 -- Yasuo Himuro of Chuo-ku, Japan, has developed an ornamental design for a tread portion of an automobile tire, the U.S. Patent & Trademark Office announced.
The inventor was issued U.S. Patent No. D572,187 on July 1.
The patent has been assigned to Bridgestone Corp., Tokyo.
