ALEXANDRIA, Va., July 7 -- Bradley C. Errington of Bellefontaine, ohio, and Junichi Kanemaru of Upper Arlington, Ohio, have developed an apparatus for controlling a vehicle heating ventilation air conditioning system.

According to the U.S. Patent & Trademark Office: "A method and apparatus for controlling a vehicle heating, ventilation, air conditioning (HVAC) system to automatically defog a windshield glass and to prevent fogging or condensation of the windshield glass. The ambient air temperature and vehicle speed are measured and used to determine a windshield glass temperature.
