Being promoted can be an exciting and terrifying occasion-even more so if you are supervising staff for the first time who may have more experience than you. Below are some suggestions that might help you establish yourself in the leader role:

* Acknowledge your staff's expertise and experience. Some may have been on the job longer, but you can win them over if you give them credit for the experience and knowledge they possess.
