MANAGEMENT
Succession planning for the C-suite does not exist in a majority of organizations. As a result, talented midlevel executives are left with considerable uncertainty about their opportunities for continued professional advancement. There is a way, however, for aspiring candidates to prosper and grow within this environment of uncertainty.
It is very natural to want to move up into a C-suite role. To position yourself as the candidate of choice the next time a position opens up, you should understand the organization's business and politics. You should understand your own strengths and weaknesses. And last but not least, you absolutely should play a very active role in the long-term ...
