Amelia, Louisiana-based Bollinger Marine Fabricators (BMF) announced this spring that it has delivered the Energy 6508, a double hull oil tank barge built to meet the requirements of the Oil Pollution Act of 1990 (OPA '90), to Hornbeck Offshore Transportation LLC (Covington, Louisiana). The delivery of the Energy 6508 was preceded by the delivery of the Energy 6506 and Energy 6507 earlier in 2007. Terms of the contract were not disclosed.
