Article: Indiana, Ohio Inventors Develop Memorialization Casket Shell

ALEXANDRIA, Va., July 7 -- Todd K. Dennis, Jon E. Doyle, Thomas F. Heil and Christopher R. Ruberg, all from Batesville, Ind., Daniel J. Parker of Connersville, Ind., Greg Wray of Guilford, Ind., Christopher C. Bovard of Sunman, Ind., and Paul A. Holzman of Mason, Ohio, have developed a casket shell.
According to the U.S. Patent & Trademark Office: "A casket comprises a casket shell, a casket lid closeable upon the shell, and a memorial shelf pivoted to the lid and movable to and between an extended position at which the shelf is adapted to support items of memorialization and a retracted position."
The inventors were issued U.S. Patent No. 7,392,574 on July 1.
