A group of Russian college students are getting a hands-on education in the free market this summer.
They're part of the Wisconsin International Student Experience program developed by World Services in La Crosse.
"This is more professional development for these kids," said Maureen Jameson, World Services operations coordinator. "It's an opportunity for them to improve their English by immersing them in our culture, as well as learning about western business methods."
World Services coordinated the program with La Crosse's Russian sister city Dubna, she said, as well as nearby city Kimry.
