WASHINGTON, July 9 -- Sen. Jim Bunning, R-Kentucky, has introduced the Abraham Lincoln Birthplace National Historical Park Act of 2008 (S. 3226), legislation that would "rename the Abraham Lincoln Birthplace National Historic Site in the State of Kentucky as the 'Abraham Lincoln Birthplace National Historical Park'."

The bill was introduced on July 7. It was referred to the Senate Energy and Natural Resources Committee.
