WASHINGTON, July 10 -- Rep. Ron Paul, R-Texas, has introduced the Energy Efficient and Environmentally Friendly Automobile Tax Credit Act of 2008 (H.R. 6441), legislation that would "amend the Internal Revenue Code of 1986 to provide tax incentives for replacing an automobile with a more fuel-efficient automobile."

The bill was introduced on July 8. It was referred to the House Ways and Means Committee.
