The New York State Metropolitan Transportation Authority issued the following news release:
Taking the MTA Long Island Rail Road to Billy Joel's "Last Play at Shea" concerts on July 16 and July 18 will be the best way to get into "A New York State of Mind" for an enjoyable evening. The LIRR will be providing additional eastbound and westbound trains to Shea Stadium so you can get there easily whether you're coming from "Cold Spring Harbor" or the "Miracle Mile."
Train service to Shea Stadium is available on eastbound Port Washington Branch trains from Penn Station and westbound trains from Great Neck and Port Washington. The train ride is just 18 minutes from Penn Station to Shea Stadium. ...
