The Department of Water Resources issued the following press release:
Department of Water Resources Director Lester A. Snow willsign a $25 million check on Wednesday, July 23transferring Proposition 50 grant monies to the Greater Los Angeles County Integrated Regional Water Management Region.
Proposition 50 is also known as the Water Security, Clean Drinking Water, Coastal and Beach Protection Act of 2002.
The 10:30 a.m. ceremony will be held at the Joint Water Pollution Control Plant, 24501 South Figueroa Street in Carson, California.
Representatives from the Greater Los Angeles area,including County Supervisor Yvonne B. Burke, will be present. They will discuss the need for a continued ...
