Abstract
Treatment guidelines for patients with the respiratory conditions asthma and chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD) call for complex drug regimens, including multiple inhaled medications from different classes. In an effort to simplify therapy for these patients, products have been designed that combine medications from 2 separate therapeutic classes. This review focuses on inhaled corticosteroid/long-acting beta^sub 2^-agonist combinations that are available for use for these disease states.
