Dr. Sadiq Mohyuddin shared the Kimmel Community Service Award (special populations category), presented on 26 Mar. 2008. Sponsored by Southern Illinois University Edwardsville and the Belleville "News-Democrat," this annual award recognizes outstanding community members for their dedication and contributions to community volunteer service. The inspiration behind this award is Carol Kimmel, a former SIU trustee who continues to volunteer her time and talent.
