Article: BAGHDAD NATIONAL ERB CAPTURES TWO SUSPECTED SPECIAL GROUPS CRIMINALS, KILLS SIX

The U.S. Army Special Operations Command issued the following news release:

Baghdad National Emergency Response Brigade captured two suspected Special Groups criminals during an intelligence-driven operation in Baghdad July 20. Six other suspected criminals were killed at a nearby weapons cache site.

ERB conducted an operation in Sadr City and captured the suspected leader of a Special Groups cell and an associate believed to be responsible for supplying lethal weapons to other Special Groups criminals in Baghdad.

One of the captured suspected Special Groups criminal is said to be the leader of a cell responsible for multiple attacks against Coalition forces in the area. Reports also ...
