Rep. Nick Joe Rahall, D-W.Va. (3rd CD), issued the following news release:

U.S. Rep. Nick Rahall (D-WV) announced the award of $265,548 from the U.S. Department of Health & Human Services to assist with improvements to the Summers County Appalachian Regional Healthcare (ARH) Hospital. This funding was requested and secured by Congressman Rahall last year in the 2008 Omnibus Appropriations Bill.

"Summers County ARH has done an excellent job caring for a rural community that would otherwise have little access to medical services," said Rahall. "I requested this funding so that Summers County ARH could update their emergency room and continue providing rural residents of southern West ...
